It is pruning time again and even though the snow is deep and some days bitterly cold it is a job that has to get done.
We have included some photos taken on a nice sunny day. All of our work is now done on snowshoes as it is the only way to get around in the orchard.
Except for the occasional fox we've had no wild visitors in the orchard, although the crows are quite talkative in the woods around the orchard.
Below are pictures of a pruned row and unpruned one so you can see the difference. Casey and Emily were working on this nice sunny day and they are both very good at it.
